Valiant Wings Publishing has announced that publication of Airframe Album No 17 - The Henschel Hs 129 has been put back to mid-May owing to a delay in supply of some content. In order to fill the gap they are re-introducing Airframe Detail No 1 - The Blohm & Voss Bv 141 - as a second edition with updated appendices and other information. Publication is due for early May.

In tonight's HyperScale Video Workshop I share my first impressions of the brand new Airfix 1/72 scale Beaufort Mk.I whike unboxing it for the very first time. Please note that I incorrectly state that Australian-build Beauforts were fitted with Wright Cyclone engines, whereas in fact they used Pratt & Whitney R-1830 Twin Wasps. Also, the second camouflage scheme is Dark Slate Grey and Extra Dark Sea Grey upper surfaces.

In tonight's HyperScale Video Workshop I share my first impressions while unboxing Arma Hobby's brand new 1/48 scale PZL P.11c for the very first time. This is Arma Hobby's debut 1/48 scale offering. Please note that the corrugations referred to in the video are not the large reinforcements on the lower wing and tail planes, but the very fine corrugations that hardly show up on the video. Just a couple of cases of opening the mouth before the brain was engaged: I said that the rudder was moulded with the horizontal stabs - I meant elevators; and said the national markings were Chinese when of course they are North Korean (with Soviet pilots)..

I am very sad to report that well-known modeller and Spitfire fancier Ian Crawford passed away earlier this month. Sincere condolences to Ian's family and many friends.
