Aerocraft Models, 1/48 scale
Aerocraft Model has sent information and images of their latest release - a Royal Navy 1/48 scale Hunter T8M two seater:
The conversion set comprises of the following:
-
33 grey resin parts (some may not be used depending on version or airframe selected)
-
Four clear resin parts, Canopy and two gunsights
-
Seven photo-etched parts
-
18 3D printed parts, of which about 10 will be used as I have supplied spares for some of the tiny parts
-
Decal sheet for three aircraft. There were only three of these produced but between the kit decal sheet and the decal sheet supplied you should be able to model all three aircraft through their entire operational history.
-
Instructions will be available to down from website (will not be in the box)
As there were only three of these aircraft converted, and were kept fairly secret and changed with updates through their life times it has been very difficult to get specific detail pictures of some of the fitments and exact positions, however I have tried to cover all options as best as possible. this also applies to the markings, however I think that there is a comprehensive selection provided.
The modeller will need to do research to complete this conversion for the specific model in time that you wish to model. I have added extra parts such as the MK.9 flaps, the early airbrake, and the top wing bulges as these seem to be fitted most of the time. However should you want to model a version with the 230 Gallon wing tanks then these are available separately.
