Everest Model is a brand new company from China that has just launched its initial range of resin conversions and decal sets.
Their very first decal sheet is Messerschmitt Bf 109 Early Emil Part 1, available in separate 1/72 and 1/48 scale sets. The contents and subjects are essentially identical except for the scale.
Eight interesting early-war marking options are provided for Messerschmitt Bf 109 E-1s and E-3s from the September 1939 Blitzkrieg on Poland to the end of the Battle of Britain.
The Polish campaign Emil is finished in the initial fighter splinter scheme of RLM 70 Black Green and RLM 71 Dark Green with low fuselage demarcation over RLM 65 Light Blue lower surfaces. All the other options are in RLM 02 Grey and RLM 71 Dark Green upper surfaces, albeit with plenty of variety by way of overspray, colourful emblems and aircraft numbers.
Decals are perfectly printed on my sample. Colours and registration look good too. The decal film is quite flat in finish.
There is no mention of who printed the decals but quality looks up to scratch.
Everest Model's Messerschmitt Bf 109 Early Emil Part 1 decal sheets will be welcomed by Bf 109, Blitzkrieg, Phoney War and Battle of Britain fans.
Thanks to Everest Models for the sample.
