Advantages: High level of detail that will result in an impressive large scale Tornado cockpit.

Recommendation: The use of the Zoom photo-etched frets will result in a noticeably better detailed Tornado cockpit, especially around the side consoles and instrument panels. The addition of the photo-etched harness straps will also be a highly visible upgrade. The masks will save you a lot of time and add sharp precision to the clear parts too! These are very useful investment for your Italeri 1/32 scale Tornado GR.4..

Eduard has produced a range of accessories for the recent Italeri 1/48 scale Tornado GR.4.

Tonight I review what I think are the three most useful of this new batch.

 

33274 - Eduard Zoom Il-2 for Zvezda Kit. USD$29.95

 

 

Even the entry-level Zoom series offers super detail with two colour photo-etched fret providing detail focused on the cockpit.

 

 

Specifically, the set includes two new multi-part coloured instrument panels, ejector pull handles, side consoles, seat detail, switches, knobs and more.

 

 

In my opinion this represent great value for Italeri's big cockpit.

 

 

This will be a very visible update for Italeri's 1/32 scale Tornado GR.4.

 

33275 - Tornado GR.4 Seat Belts for Italeri Kit. USD$19.95

This new photo-etched fret supplies two full harnesses for the seats in Italeri's large scale Tornado GR.4.

 

 

Details are picked out, with stitching and hardware printed directly onto the photo-etched straps and mounts.

The half-tone rendering of shadows is also very well done.

 

 

This harness set will be the ideal accompaniment to the Zoom cockpit detail set reviewed above.

 

JX269 Masks Tornado GR.4 for Italeri Kit. USD$12.95

 

 

Die-cut, self-adhesive masks for the canopy and wheels.

 

 

These represent a fast and accurate solution for a time consuming and often disliked modelling task.

 

 

Conclusion

 

The use of the Zoom photo-etched frets will result in a noticeably better detailed Tornado cockpit, especially around the side consoles and instrument panels.

The addition of the photo-etched harness straps will also be a highly visible upgrade.

The masks will save you a lot of time and add sharp precision to the clear parts too!

These are very useful investment for your Italeri 1/32 scale Tornado GR.4.
