Advantages:

Clean, moulding with nice detail to replace poor/inaccurate original mouldings. Straight replacement on the model for kit ones.

Disadvantages:

None noted.

Conclusions:

A nice set to improve the wheels of the Hasegawa and Revell kits.

This set consists of 6 parts of very nicely detailed and cast resin packed into a sturdy box. There are 2 main wheels and a set of wheels hub covers that were used on many of these aircraft. There are 2 versions of these covers, a 4 bolt set and a 6 bolt cover with a diagonal seam across them. You will have to check your references as to what you will use.

 

 

Close inspection finds no signs of any pinholes or moulding faults, although there is some fine resin flash that will be to be cleaned off. Inside and outside hub details are different with the outside hub detailed with a spoked hub. There is no sidewall marking on the tyres.

The instructions consist of a small paper piece with simple drawings to show what to do in 1 step. No paint callouts at all and you must rely on using the kit instructions.

 

 

Conclusion

 

Brengun has given us another nice upgrade set for the Ki-43 Hayabusa kits which all have been around for a good deal of time, with the early releases certainly doing with some improvements. This set is well recommended.
