I am very pleased to launch our new HyperScale Resource Guide to Building the English Electric Canberra. This is a 29 page booklet with 77 images and nearly 10,000 words.
The Guide is entirely free to HyperScale's visitors.
The focus of this guide is the new Airfix 1/48 scale Canberra B(I).8, but there are also Chapters covering construction of the Xtrakit, Classic Airframes and High Planes kits. The downloadable PDF format will permit modelers to print the booklet and use it as a workbench reference while building your Canberra.

Today I review Eduard's brand new 1/48 scale Royal Class Bf 110 C/D/E package, which includes new plastic parts to build a Bf 110 D with the long "boat tail", a Bf 110 E/Trop, or an E Night Fighter with radar. A 1/4 scale super detailed Bf 110 instrument panel and a full scale replica Iron Cross are also included. 32 images of the various parts accompany the review text.

A new model company, Antarki Aircaft Models from Peru, will focus on 1/48 military aircraft models from the golden age of aviation and unusual subjects. Aircraft of Peru, Italy and France will be a primary interest. Antarki's first offering will be the Douglas Model 8A; a full resin kit, including photo etched, metal and vacuform parts. Markings will be for Peruvian, Norwegian and Dutch versions. A tentative release date of September 2008 is planned. A price has not been determined, but Antarki hopes to be quite competitive for a resin kit. The next offering will be the North American NA-50, with parts for the P-64 fighter.

There have been a couple of enquiries about Classic Airframes' forthcoming 1/48 scale Heinkel He 51 kits. I can confirm that these are 100% all-new tool kits, having nothing at all in common with the earlier Classic Airframes Heinkel He 51 releases.

Classic Airframes announces a pair of all-new 1/48 scale Heinkel He 51 kits due for release around the time of the IPMS USA Nationals. Images of the attractive box art have been posted to Classic Airframes' website.

On Testor's ScaleWorkshop, I have posted three images of my new Airfix 1/48 scale English Electric Canberra B(I).8, finished with my Testor Aztek airbrush. We will be seeing a lot more of this model in the coming weeks.

In a surprise move, Jules Bringuier has announced the Classic Airframes' "Scooter Project". Classic Airframes will be releasing a 1/48 scale TA-4J Aggressor Skyhawk this quarter. Considering how quickly the recent Classic Airframes Baltimores, Blenheims and others have sold out, pre-orders might be a good idea for Scooter fans. An image of Jerry Boucher's striking box art may be seen on Classic Airframes' Forthcoming Releases page.
