CAC Avon Sabre

Hasegawa's 1/32 scale F-86 Sabre is available online from Squadron.com

Description

Here are some photos of my 1/32 scale Hasagawa F-86 Sabre that has been extensively reworked to produce an Australian 77 Sqdn Avon Sabre.

The work carried out included detailing of the cockpit seat mirrors plumbing etc , scribing all panel lines to replace raised detail, working over the wheel wells and adding detail as necessary.

The fuselage had extensive modifications carried out. These included enlarging the intake, making all relavent air scoops and vents, constructing the 30mm cannon troughs and various other modifactions. Last but not least were the home made 77 Sqdn markings.

At no time were detail sets used on this bird - everything that has been added is home made from good old plastic card and what ever did the job.

All painting was done with Tamiya enamels
