David Doyle Books News #72

Back by Popular Demand!

Dear Friends,

Denise and I have some big news this week!

But we'll start this newsletter with the little news...

We have been planning a trip to the National Archives in order to wrap up the research on a few new books.  This will happen later this month, IF the government reopens.  If we are able to get away, as is our custom, we'll put a banner up on our site.  I mention this now in case some of you have been contemplating ordering a reference to complete a restoration and a build - don't wait too long, as there MAY be a delay in shipping later this month.

This week received some new aviation modelling books from Airmark:

We also restocked on Casemate books, including the US Army Tractor Trucks and Semitrailers and the USMC Tank Markings in the Pacific titles.

Also, we have begun taking reservations for the expanded edition of the Tankograd British Military Trucks of World War One - an expansion of a long out of print title.  The deadline for reservations on this title is midnight Monday 20 October.  As a reminder, reservations are still open for Panzer Tracts 5-1 and 5-2, both dealing with the Panther.  As a reminder, if you can't remember whether you've reserved a book - simply reserve again - the system will not duplicate your reservation (unless you use a different email address). If you need to reserve two or more copies of an upcoming book, just email us.

The big news is that due to popular demand, we are bringing back our Book of the Month Club - now expanded to offer both armor publications and aviation publications, as well as options to include or exclude modelling-related publications.  We are offering extra incentives to join now (shipments begin in December).  Membership is limited - enrollments will stop 15 December OR sooner if we feel like we have all the members that we can serve.  The details of this program, which provide over a 75% savings over retail, can be seen at the link above.  For those who took part in last years program, the books shipped this year will not duplicate those of the last program.

Denise and I remain grateful for your support and pray that all of you are safe, secure and healthy.

Sincerely,

David and Denise Doyle
