Our First Weekend Edition

Denise and I hope all of you are doing well, and none are impacted be the horrendous fires (or the extreme winter weather).

With a tremendous number of new (and restocked) books arriving this week, we thought we'd try something different this week - a weekend newsletter with a weekend-only special.  From now through midnight this Monday (January 20) enter the discount code WEEKEND to take 10% off your order.  This discount cannot be combined with any other discount or offer!

Speaking of other offers - many who build model ships are excited by the recent announcement that a new kit of a Fletcher-class destroyer is on the way. To help out, we are offering our Squadron USS Kidd (a Fletcher-class destroyer) book for only $11.99 - a 40% discount, while supplies last - and if ordered this weekend, the additional 10% will apply to THIS title if the discount code is entered.

As mentioned, we've had a mountain of books come in this week.  Here is a partial list:

• AK Interactive - NEW releases and restocks of books about full size and scale model vehicles, aircraft and ships.

• Warpaint aviation books 

• Nuts & Bolts - restock - and unfortunately a lot of these books were damaged in transit - the damaged copies are offered here with a discount.  Almost all the damage consists of dinged corners.

• PanzerWrecks 26 - newly in - plus numerous restocks

• Airmark aviation books, including four new titles just released - SBD, F-8 Crusader, V-22, and F6F.

• Phoenix Aviation Modelling - the latest issue.

• TankPower - restock and a few new titles

• Ginter books, including a restock of the long out of print F-107A book.

While all these publications have come in, we've also been advised that a few of other books have been delayed - see our Coming Soon page for updates on individual titles.

Speaking of coming soon - we're now taking reservations for three more forthcoming books:

• Soviet Armor Camouflage

• A-1 Skyraider

• F-14 Tomcat

Speaking of reservations, I am now surrounded by a number of books that folks reserved, then did not follow through and purchase.  We understand that sometimes things come up and plans have to change, illness, loss of job, and other hardships - are understandable reasons to cancel, just let us know as soon as possible.  However, by the time the notice arrives that says "Your book has come in, please pay now," and then folks just change their mind, we've already spent the money to buy the books, so if the customer doesn't follow through, that puts us in a bind, so we put off bringing other books in, ride on worn tires weeks longer, etc. until they finally move.  Please be considerate of this before clicking "reserve now."
