Dear Friends,

Denise and I pray that all of you are well - specifically those impacted by fires or severe winter weather.

We are fine, although the weather has delayed some of our shipments - both inbound and outbound - the photo above is a shot looking down our driveway!  Granted, for many of you, this amount of snow is "normal' - but around here, this is far from normal.

Speaking of deliveries - as those who reserved learned a couple of days ago (we are working through getting those reserved books in the mail), we have gotten in the new PanzerWrecks 26 and Defending Normandy books. We also restocked several other titles from this publisher. 

We attempted to restock on Nuts & Bolts books as well - I say "attempted" because this shipment, which left Germany in November, is finally arriving and we have rarely seen shipments arrive which were subjected to so much abuse by the carrier.  Only a partial shipment arrived yesterday - and literally every book was damaged.  In fact, we've had several books damaged in transit since Christmas - thus be sure and take a look at our discounted "Dented but Good" page.  All of these books are perfectly readable, but all are damaged.  Most of the time the damage amounts to corner dings or creases.  At these prices we really don't have time to provide detailed descriptions of the damage to each individual book, but none are missing pages or covers, and all are perfectly readable.  Once the rest of this shipment arrives, we'll either restock various Nuts & Bolts titles, or add more to the damaged book page.  Thankfully, this shipment does NOT include their new Nuts & Bolts Volume 49 (which will be in the next shipment).

Along the same lines, we are still terribly short on space, so we've decided to move out our shopworn books at 40% off our already discounted prices for these books - simply enter the discount code SHOPWORN to take advantage of this special offer on this page only.  The discount will be applied during checkout. For those that don't know, a shopworn book is a new book that show signs of scuffing or fading that comes with being displayed in a book store. This offer is good through Monday 13 January.

Finally, through my years of research I have come across a number of interesting photos that unfortunately could not be used in publications - either I scanned them with the wrong settings, or there were flaws that would not make it past an editor, or I found them just after a book went to print. We are likely to send our next newsletter a bit earlier than usual next week once the inbound shipments catch up, then return to our normal schedule.
