David Doyle Books News #30

Help us clean up my mistakes

Dear Friends,

We hope that all of you had a safe, relaxing and Blessed Christmas, and were able to rejoice in all that this holiday is about.

We are grateful for those who were not able to take the day off - the members of our armed forces, firefighters, law enforcement officers, medical workers, railway and airline workers, and pastors who were not able to relax, but whose labors brought safety and comfort to the rest of us.

Just before Christmas we received the new Real to Replica Number 9 Vought A-7 Corsair book, as well as an assortment of periodicals, including:

January 2025 Scale Aircraft Modelling
January 2025 Military Modelcraft International
January/February Fantasy Figures International #29

We also got a restock of back issues of Air Modeller.

As we were putting these publications away, and preparing for more that will be arriving in the coming year, it seems I kept stumbling over books I had tucked away in multiple places.  I am sure many of you can relate to buying the same book twice - well, it seems that is what I have done in several instances, on a large scale.  Other times, I have simply guessed wrong on how many to order, and in still other instances, the carrier has lost shipments, forcing us to duplicate an order, then BOTH show up.   Whatever the cause, there are several titles of which we have too many.

To solve this problem (and keep me from breaking my neck tripping over boxes!), we are having an inventory reduction sale on these titles.

A portion of this inventory has been moved to this SPECIAL WEBPAGE where they are offered at extra-low prices.  Once those that have been set aside have sold, that listing will be removed from the page. No discount code is needed, nor do any other discounts apply to the books that are part of this inventory reduction.

ALSO - long time fans of Squadron-Signal publications have noted that in the relative recent history of this publisher, four-digit product numbers were replaced by five-digit numbers.  From now through December 30, all Squadron-Signal publications with four-digit product numbers are 50% off our normal advertised prices. To take advantage of this offer, enter the discount code BLOWOUT at checkout.

There are a few key details relating to this sale:

While for the benefit of collectors we do have an illustrated listing of all Squadron-Signal publications on our website - that reference listing is not intended for shopping.  Rather, one should shop by category (Aircraft USAF JetUS Military Vehicles 1945 EarlierAxis Tanks, etc.), but remember this sale is ONLY on the Squadron-Signal four-digit books on these pages.
Secondly, there is a LOT of coding had to be done to prepare for this sale.  I may have missed something.  If you see a discount not properly applied, let us know, we'll fix it.  We'll either correct the coding, or refund you any overcharge, as is appropriate.

This discount does not apply to damaged or shopworn books, nor in combination with any other discount.

Again, the 50% discount is on books with four-digit product numbers, not five-digit (ie. applies to SS5719 Stuart but not  to SS10271 TBD).  Don't forget to enter the discount code!

Denise and I remain grateful for your continued support.

Sincerely,

David and Denise Doyle
