David Doyle Books News #29
We have something very special this week!
Denise and I pray that all of you are safe, warm and healthy.
As our Advent calendar counts down to Christmas, we've been very busy getting your orders out, and new products in.
We have a number of books that will be coming soon, and the reservation deadline for Defending Normandy Vol 1B German Infantry Divisions on the Contentin is this coming Monday December 23. Don't miss this chance to get the second installment of the series that began with the very popular Defending Normandy Vol. 1A: German Chain of Command, LXXXIV. A.K. & Infantry Divisions on the Contentin.
We just restocked on AFV Modeller and Air Modeller magazines, Classic Warships Books, PeKo Publications and more books in more categories than I can name here. Browse our pages to find these newly arrived treasurers.
All the incoming (and outgoing) shipments have interfered with my ability to finish some long awaited books - and while my publishers have been gracious and patient - I really must devote more energy and time to these projects. Therefore we're making some changes to our shipping program. We still offer free shipping on orders of $15 or more to US addresses - but we're allowing ourselves more time to get it out the door. However, if you just can't wait for the latest publication, we'll still try to get it out in under 24 hours - for $4.95. You will also see even more shipping options beginning to show up across the site as we continue to add options.
Even with with the fastest of the options, at this point it is getting a bit iffy that parcels will arrive before Christmas - but we DO have one sure-fire option that resolves this - our DavidDoyleBooks.com gift certificates. Purchasers of our gift certificates are instantly emailed a certificate number (be sure and don't loose it) which can be redeemed while shopping on our website. The gift certificates do not expire.
Our big special this week is our response to what we've seen as a troubling trend. While watching various concerts, movies, etc.,many of which are aimed at kids, I've heard "Christmas is about...." followed by any number of feel good nouns or adjectives - but rarely hear "CHRISTmas is about the birth of Christ, our Savior."
To recognize what the holiday is REALLY about - and in fact why the holiday is called Christmas, we have a special offer. Order any two publications anywhere on our site - airplanes, tanks, ships, trains, ocean liners, then add one or more of our Arch books (many of which deal with the real meaning of Christmas), then at checkout enter the discount code CHRISTMAS and one of the Arch books will become free! This offer expires at midnight Christmas days, or when our stock of Arch Books is exhausted.
Denise and I hope all of you have a safe, joyous and Blessed Christmas!
David and Denise Doyle
