David Doyle Books News #19

Dear Friends,

Denise and I pray that all of you are safe, and that the recent storms had minimal impact on you and your loved ones.  Thankfully, we are on the other end of the state from the worst damage, and other than a very muddy yard and some limbs down, we were not affected.

Yesterday we got the long sought after Tankograd volume on the KV-series Soviet tanks.  This book is approaching the size of our large Dodge books and the famed two-volume Son of Sherman books, and demand is similar as well.  Those who reserved the books and paid the deposit (because of the expense, the first time we've ever asked for a deposit) were notified yesterday, and should follow the instructions in that email to claim their reserved copy.  If no deposit was paid, then there was no reservation.
We have a few extra copies for those who missed the reservation period, which can be ordered here.

Also arriving this week was a restock on Ginter aviation books, including their new title about the Curtiss Stingaree.
We also received a restock on Schiffer and Legends of Warfare books.

New book announcement!

Guideline has announced a new book for German armor enthusiasts and modellers -  Panzer Vor! The Armoured Vehicles of the Panzerwaffe in Profile and Miniature.  Click the link to learn more and reserve your copy!

Speaking of book reservations - last week we began taking reservations on four new books - my USS ArizonaUSS Massachusetts and F-4 Phantom II books, as well as a new Legends of Warfare about the Japanese carriers Kaga and Akagi.  Because of a mistake on my part, some of you were unable to make reservations for that last book - the Kaga and Akagi.  That problem has been resolved, so I'd ask that if you had trouble, please try again by clicking the link above.
None of these Legends of Warfare or Panzer Vor! books require a deposit.

Finally, two reminders concerning reservations - first, during the reservation process you may be asked if you will accept marketing.  Please answer yes - your name is not being sold - but the email notification that you will get saying "Your book has arrived" is considered marketing, and if you don't agree to accept marketing, that email can't be sent.

Also, if you are ever in doubt as to whether you have reserved a book, simply reserve again.  Unless you reserve using a different email address, your reservation won't be duplicated, so there are no worries there.

Finally, we are still packing the KV books for those who reserved, and tomorrow we're taking mom for an appointment, which will last much of the day, so while we will try to get everyone's orders out before we leave, we do ask for your patience and understanding.

Sincerely,

David and Denise
