HURRICANE: UNSUNG HERO IN AIRFIX

Liam Shaw is a self-taught historian specialising in Second World War aviation. He worked for IWM at Duxford for many years in a variety of roles including most recently delivering talks, tours and experiences based around the Duxford collection.

IPMS Model Display

In association with the International Plastic Model Society, see a large display of Hurricane models covering an array of different marks and variants of Hurricanes that cover the lifespan of the aircraft. These will complement the real examples on display to give a full picture of the aircraft’s amazing lifespan and service.

Painting Demonstrations

A demonstration of painting techniques by experts from Airfix Model World Magazine. Steve Budd will be recalling his experience of building the 1/48 Hurricane.
