Eduard has added to its existing range of accessories for the acclaimed 1/48 scale Airfix Jaguar GR.1 / 1A.

Tonight I review two of Eduard's useful upgrades in the BRASSIN PRINT range.

66481146 BRASSIN PRINT Jaguar GR.1A Cockpit for Airfix kit

Eduard's 1/48 scale Jaguar GR.1A cockpit set comprises nine parts in 3d printed resin, eight brass plated photo-etched parts, a decal sheet, printed acetate and instructions.

Packaging is safe and sound inside a stout cardboard box, small separate zip-lock bags and sandwiched between two pieces of foam.

The 3d printed parts are perched atop a large number of very fine printing supports. These almost come to a point when they reach the bottom of the parts.

Cleanup with a hobby knife and fine abrasive paper will make quick work of removing the supporting artefacts.

The parts are crisply presented and free from any striations or other printing flaws that I can see.

Detail is incredible. I particularly like the seat with its harness straps printed in place.

Decals are supplied mainly for the instrument dials.

Eduard's 1/48 scale Jaguar GR.1A exhaust nozzle set comprises eight parts in 3d printed resin.

Detail is fine and convincing.

I have already cleaned up some of the parts ready for assembly. This was really fast and easy - some of the printing supports almost fell away all by themselves.

Full instructions are included.

The use of the 3d resin parts and selected photo-etch will result in a highly detailed cockpit, especially around the instrument panel.

The super detailed seat with its cast-in-place harness straps will also be a highly visible upgrade.

The inclusion of decal instruments and printed acetate gun sight reflectors is a thoughtful inclusion.

The 100% 3d printed resin exhaust nozzles will provide a big lift to the Jaguar's back end.

These will both be very useful investments for your Airfix 1/48 scale Jaguar GR.1A..
