Advantages: Crisply 3D printed parts with no sign of layering. Straight replacement parts. Suitable for both wing-tip and under wing mounting.
Disadvantages: None noted.
Recommendation:

This is a well detailed 3D printed set of parts with minimal cleaning up. The one piece body is certainly an improvement than the multi-part versions that come in a few kits.

The LAU-127, LAU-128, LAU-129 and LAU-139 are a part of Missile Rail launcher (MRL) family of aircraft missile launchers manufactured by Marvin Engineering Co., Inc., based in Inglewood, California. The different launchers are for different aircraft. The LAU-127 is for the F/A-18 Hornet family, the -128 is for the F-15 Eagles , the -129 is for the F-16’s and the -139 is for the Saab JAS-39 Gripen.

 

 

FabScale Studio gives us 4 pieces (linked together in a strip) of tan 3D printed launch rails, which come in a strong plastic box, enclosed in a plastic in a zip-lock plastic bag to ensure it gets to you in one piece.  It is a straight replacement in part. You will need to carefully remove the print supports from the blank side of the rail of the parts, which will need a quick pass with a fine sanding stick to clean up. The parts will be a straight replacement for kit parts, although you may need to align them carefully as there will be not the tabs etc to match all the different kits available.

 

 

You will need to use the kit decals as these don’t come with specific decals.

 

 

Conclusion

 

This is a great replacement and improvement part of any of the F-16 kits out there. I would certainly highly recommend their use, and these ones will certainly be going onto at least a couple of F-16’s in the stash. Another great offering from FabScale Studios.
