Mini Craft Collection is a relatively new company from China that has, until now, focused on 3d printed seats and accessories for US military jet aircraft.

With its first first foray into WWII subjects - a full replacement cockpit fpr Arma Model's 1/48 scale Hurricane Mk.IIc kits as reviewed on HyperScale yesterday - MCC has broadened their traditional subject matter.
Mini Craft Collection has now added a second update for Arma Hobby's 1/48 scale Hurricane Mk.II kits - a set of replacement control surfaces.
The set arrives in a small stout silver tin.

The resin parts are couched securely in individual resin enclosures.

There are just six parts in grey coloured 3d printed parts inside five resin enclosures. Some of these are stacked together using plugs and holes - very clever.
The 3d parts are perfectly printed. There are no striations or any other printing imperfections whatsoever.
You really can't see much inside the resin encosure so I took a bit of time to remove the resin parts from their printing cages.
Parts cleanup will be familiar to anyone who has used 3D printed accessories. The parts are attached to fine rods that taper even more narrowly at the point of attachment. I usually use a sprue cutter to take out the larger clusters of mounts from the 3D printed parts, then using a new hobby blade in my Olfa knife handle to cut the strips as close as possible to the surfsce of the parts.

Take time and care to remove the narrow attachment points tidily.

Some surgery will be required to fit the flaps and the ailerons. You'll need to cut away the fixed plastic ailerons and flaps from the wings and thin the plastic at the trailing edges. The rudder and elevators should be pretty much a drop fit.
The parts are all crisply detailed. The strteched fabric effect and super-fine stitching are impressive.

The design of the flaps is particularly clever. They are printed as one piece for each side with the lower flap posed dropped. Really impressive.

Actuator rods and triangular ribs look really good, as do the raised rivets on the other flap surfaces.

The elevators are printed as a full-width single part. MCC has accurately reproduced the large pilot-adjustable trim tabs and the small fixed tab outboard.
The rudder has the trim tab actuator assembly and anti-flutter mass balance are printed as part of the resin part.

A delicate aerial anchor point is printed onto the top of the rudder. You'll beed to handle this very carefully.

A two-sided A4 instruction sheet is supplied. This offers assembly diagrams and instructions on preparing the kit's plastic parts for installation of the control surfaces.
Removing the parts from their mounting artefacts is the most complex part of this update. Once the parts are free, assembly should be fast and easy.
This is a high quality, clever and well-detailed set of replacement control surfaces for any of Arma Hobby's 1/48 scale Hurricane Mk.IIb, IIc and IIc Trop kits.
Highly Recommended.
Thanks to Mini Craft Collection for the sample.
