This limited edition silk-screen printed A5 decal sheet comes in the usual clear zip-lock sleeve with a folded all-colour instruction A4 sheet showing all the subjects with port-side and vertical views and a couple of detailed drawings of things like nose and door markings. The glossy decals are printed on a mid-blue background with minimal carrier film and colour density and register looks to be excellent.
The three subjects are in overall silver/aluminium finish with black areas for de-icing boots and nacelles.
The subjects are:
-
Bristol Freighter 170 Mk31E , EI-AFR , ’St. Ronan’ between 1952 and 1955,
-
C-47A , EI-AFA , ’St Lawrence O’Toole’ between 1949 and 1963, and
-
DC-3D , EI-ACE , between 1946 and 1964.
Each aircraft is given a brief history and some colour notes.
These decals will certainly add something different to a collection of early post-war civil aeroplanes and as such come highly recommended.
Thanks to Max Decals for these samples.
