Barracuda Studios has released two new rocket sets for a bunch of different 1/48 scale Commonwealth aircraft:

They are:

BR48526 - Sea Fury RP-3 Rockets and Rails

The first set supplies a set of six RP-3 (Rocket Projectile 3 inch) rockets and rails.

Although the packaging labels these as for the Sea Fury, they were also used on the Bristol Beaufighter, P-51 Mustang, de Havilland Vampire, Fairey Firefly, Gloster Meteor, Fairey Gannet, de Havilland Sea Venom, Scimitar, Sea Hawk, Attacker, Sea Vixen and more.

The set comprises 12 3d printed parts. The body and fins of the rocket and the mounts are printed as one piece each. The warheads are separate parts.

The folded metal clips that hold the rocket to the rail are accurately represented by open gaps in the clips. The separate 60 lb. rocket heads are accurately detailed, and the fins are nice and thin.

The rockets should be fast and easy to clean up, assemble and install.

Instructions are supplied.

BR48527 - Sea Fury 2-Tier Rockets and Rails

This set contains a set of four pairs of 2-tier RP-3 rockets and rails.

This configuration was seen on Sea Furies, Gloster Meteors and more.

Although the packaging labels these as for the Sea Fury, they were also used on the Bristol Beaufighter, North American P-51 Mustang, de Havilland Vampire, Fairey Firefly, Gloster Meteor, Fairey Gannet, de Havilland Sea Venom, Scimitar, Sea Hawk, Attacker, Sea Vixen and more.
