Advantages:

Excellent printing, colour and register quality, minimal carrier film and a nice choice of schemes backed up with good, clear instructions.

Disadvantages:

 None noted.

Conclusion:

This is an interesting set of choices that should attract modellers who wish to have collection of aircraft that participated in the campaigns across North Africa in the lead-up to the defeat of the German forces in 1943. Highly recommended.

The single sheet comes in the familiar zip-lock bag with an A5 title sheet with the handy paint guide on the back giving a full Xtrcrylix list of colours for the RAF BS series, the US FS numbers and the Luftwaffe RLM series as well as varnishes and finishes - very thoughtful.

 

 

There are then two A4 double-sided colour sheets covering decal placement for the the ten subjects in port and starboard profiles.

 

 

Instructions are rounded out with a set of elevation views for the upper and lower markings and colours.

 

 

The sheet itself is beautifully printed in a gloss finish with minuscule film and perfect register.

 

 

The sheet covers a variety of Allied aircraft as follows:

  1. Supermarine Spitfire Vb Trop, ES276 , WD*D of the USAAC in Tunisia in June 1943 in Dark Earth/ Middle Stone over Azure Blue with a red spinner,

  2. Curtiss Tomahawk Mk. IIb, AM406 DX*O of 4Sqn SAAF , May 1942, in the same scheme,

  3. Hawker Hurricane Mk. I Z4244 “H”, of RNFS in August 1941 in Dark Earth/ Middle Stone over Sky Blue, with black spinner, 

  4. Hawker Hurricane Mk.Ib, W9291 ‘M’  of 10Sqn RAF in August 1941 in overall black,

  5. North American P-51A, unknown serial, WU*B of 225Sqn RAF Algeria in May 1943 in Middle Stone /Olive Drab over Neutral Grey with a red spinner,

  6. Grumman Martlet Mk. III AX733, ‘K’ of 805 RNFU Egypt August 1941 in Middle Stone over Light Grey,

  7. Supermarine Spitfire Vb Trop, ER758 , ’S’ of the 336 (Greek) Sqn in Libya in February 1944 in Dark Earth/ Middle Stone over Azure Blue with a blue/white spinner,

  8. Vickers Wellington Mk. Ic, T2607, LF*P, , of 37Sqn, Egypt January 1942 in Green/Brown over Black scheme,

  9. Douglas Boston Mk.III, W8376, ‘C’ of the SAAF, Libya, April 1943 in Dark Earth/ Middle Stone over Sky Blue with black spinners, and 

  10. Curtiss P-40F, ’12’ of USAAC, about July 1943 in US Sand 26 over Neutral Grey.

This ia an excellent, diverse collection of schemes that should appeal to those modellers with an interest in this campaign.
