Xtradecal, 1/48 scale

Xtradecal has just released a series of new decal sets that covers six 1/48 scale Westland Sea King options.

Today we are looking at Part 4.

These will be suitable for the new Airfix kit.

A nice variety of camouflage and markings are offered, including sand, snow, grey and raspberry ripple!

Details are as follows:

1. Westland Sea King HU-5S XZ918, '020'/'20'/'N' of 771 Naval Air Squadron, Royal Navy, Mid-1980s.

2. Westland Commando HC.4 ZB507, 'B' Royal Aircraft Establishment, Farnborough, 1980s.

3. Westland Sea King HAR.3 XZ592, 'S', of 203 Squadron which was part of the Royal Air Force, Sea King Training Unit, Royal Air Force, based at RAF Culdrose, 1990s.

4. Westland Commando HC.4 ZG820, 'F', of 845 Naval Air Squadron, Royal Navy, based at RNAS Yeovilton, UK based at King Khalid Military City, Saudi Arabia during 'Operation Granby, 1991.

5. Westland Commando HC.4 ZG820, 'F'.

6. Westland Commando HC.4 ZE425, 'WR' of 846 Naval Air Squadron, Royal Navy, based at RNAS Yeovilton, 2009.

Instructions for the decal sheet are in full colour across two folded double-sided A4 and one A5 sheets.

Both side views and other views are provided.

Colour notes are offered, along with model paint callouts for Xtracolor enamels and Xtracrylix acrylics.

The decals are perfectly printed and feature thin carrier film.

The release of these decals is great timing for the new Airfix 1/48 scale Sea King and will offer welcome variety for anyone building the kit.
