Xtradecal, 1/48 scale

Xtradecal has just released a series of new decal sets that covers seven 1/48 scale Westland Sea King options.

Today we are looking at Part 2.

These will be suitable for the new Airfix kit.

A nice variety of camouflage and markings are offered, including yellow, grey, white and blue schemes.

1. Westland Sea King HAR.3 XZ295, of 302 Squadron, Royal Air Force, based at RAF Lossiemouth, 1990s

2. Westland Sea King HAR.3 XZ591 of 202 Squadron, Royal Air Force, based at RAF Brawdy, 1983.

3. Westland Commando HC.4 ZD480, of 845 Naval Air Squadron, used in United Nations duties, seen at RNAS Yeovilton, 14 July, 1995.

4. Westland Sea King HAS.1 XV653, '94' of 706 Naval Air Squadron, Royal Navy, based at RNAS Culdrose, 1977.

5. Westland Sea King HAS.2a XV643, '305' of 819 Naval Air Squadron, Royal Navy, based at RNAS Prestwick, 1980.

6. Westland Sea King HAR.3 XZ599 of 78 Squadron, Royal Air Force, based at RAF Mount Pleasant, Falkland Islands, 1996.

7. Westland Sea King HAS.5 XV675, '274'/'74' of 814 Naval Air Squadron, Royal Navy, based at RAF Lossiemouth, 1985

Instructions for the decal sheet are in full colour across two folded double-sided A4 and one A5 sheets.

Both side views and upper and lower views are provided.

Colour notes are offered, along with model paint callouts for Xtracolor enamels and Xtracrylix acrylics.

The decals are perfectly printed and feature thin carrier film.

The release of these decals is great timing for the new Airfix 1/48 scale Sea King and will offer welcome variety for anyone building the kit.
