Xtradecal has just released a new 1/48 scale decal set that covers seven 1/48 scale Hawker Hurricane Mk.IIc Trop subjects in perfect time for the lovely new Arma Hobby kit.

Although it is not mentioned in the instructions, the Arma Hurricane kit already includes the Vokes filter for the Mk.IIc trop, so these decals will be particularly handy.

 

 

A nice variety of interesting colours are markings are included.

    1. Hawker Hurricane Mk.IIc Trop, LB680, 'MW.J' of 7 (Battleaxes) Squadron, Indian Air Force, based at Peshawar, Pakistan, December, 1944.

    2. Hawker Hurricane Mk.IIc, BE643, 'EG.N' of 34 Squadron, Royal Air Force, based at Palel, India 1944.

    3. Hawker Hurricane Mk.IIc 5285, 'AX.E' of 'A Flight' 11 OTU, South African Air Force based at Waterkloof, Air Base, South Africa, 1945.

    4. Hawker Hurricane Mk.IIc, BE643, 'AK.U' flown by Pilot Officer A. U. Houle of 213 Squadron, Royal Air Force, based at Edku, Egypt, April, 1942.

    5. Hawker Hurricane Mk.IIc Trop, KZ371, 'R' of 1 (The Tigers) Squadron, Indian Air Force, based at Miranshah, North West Frontier Province, Late, 1943.

    6. Hawker Hurricane PR.Mk.IIc BM969 flown by OfficerDonald Pearson, 'S' Flight Commander of 3 PRU, Royal Air Force based in India, mid-1942.

Instructions for the decal sheet are in full colour across one folded double-sided A4 and one A5 sheets.

Both side views and upper and lower views are provided for all seven subjects

 

 

Colour notes are offered, along with model paint callouts for Xtracolor enamels and Xtracrylix acrylics.

The decals are perfectly printed and feature thin carrier film.
