Xtradecal has just released a new 1/32 scale decal set that covers seven Gloster Meteor F.3 options. These will be perfect for the forthcoming all-new Revell kit.

 

 

A nice variety of interesting colours are markings are included.

 

 

Details for the seven subjects are as follows:

  1. Gloster Meteor F.3 EE239, 'YQ.Q' of 616 Squadron, 2 TAF, Royal Air Force based at Lubeck, Germany, 1946.

  2. Gloster Meteor F.3 EE278, 'ZD.A' of 222 Squadron, Royal Air Force based at RAF Tangmere, UK, 1947.

  3. Gloster Meteor F.3 EE337, 'FD/051' of 778 Naval Air Squadron, Royal Air Force based at RAF Tangmere, UK, 1947.

  4. Gloster Meteor F.3 EE416, which was the first trials aircraft to be used by Martin Baker for ejector seat trials, 1948.

  5. Gloster Meteor F.3 EE342, 'RAW.L' of 616 Squadron, Royal Air Force based at RAF Finingley, UK, late-1949.

  6. Gloster Meteor F.3 EE464, 'HI.C' of 66 Squadron, Royal Air Force based at RAF Duxford, UK, May, 1948.

  7. Gloster Meteor F.3 EE253, 'A6.E' of 257 Squadron, Royal Air Force based at RAF Horsham St Faith, UK, October, 1947.

Instructions for the decal sheet are in full colour across one folded double-sided A4 and one A5 sheets.

 

 

Both side views and upper and lower views are provided for all seven subjects.

Colour notes are offered, along with model paint callouts for Xtracolor enamels and Xtracrylix acrylics.

The decals are perfectly printed and feature thin carrier film. Two decal sheets are included - one for unique markings and one for national markings.

 

 

Sufficient national markings are included to build two of the subjects without needing to resort to further roundel and fin flash decals.
