Euro Decals, 1/32 scale

Eurofighter Typhoon s/n ZJ914 was rolled out in its striking new livery by 29 Squadron in the spring of 2021 for use until the end of this year’s display season. Nicknamed the “Union Jack” scheme, the largely black design features stylised national flags above and below the wings and canards, plus a red spine and fin, with the latter sporting a large RAF roundel on either side.

 
The coloured decal sheets are printed in house, Fantasy Print Shop, which are excellent printing quality and ease of application. If you haven’t used Euro Decals before, I can personally recommend them as I have used them. They come off the backing sheet without doubling over, you can carefully move them around, which could be needed with the sheer size of some of these decals, and they settle down into surface details well with a little decal softener.

The main sheets cover the coloured decals and data stencils. Be warned, several of the decals are very big, especially those of the underwing which are the size of the whole wing. The smaller sheet has the dashes for the “No Walk” wing areas. The small sheet also has spare red and blue decal swatches in case you need to patch/repair any. These are printed in perfect register with great definition and strong colour. My concern would be that, there may be some bleed through of the underlying colour, being black, on the wings and fuselage. Maybe try a sample of the spare swatches on some black. Euro Decals also recommend that you use the colour swatch over black to accurately colour match the red before spraying the spine and the tail fin so it will match the rest of the red decals.

This is a really nice set of large decals from Euro Decals covering a well-known display aircraft that many saw fly at UK air shows during 2021 and 2022. These Euro decals are not cheap but there are a lot of decals and a big area they cover. They are suited for the Revell Eurofighter Typhoon kit. For a spectacular British display scheme, these decals are recommended.
