Part of the UK Air Power Update series this is a very specialised sheet that supports a single, rather pricey recently released kit from Big Planes Kits (BPK7222). As such it allows the modeller to finish any one of the nine Poseidons purchased for the RAF and delivered from early 2020.

The single sheet arrives in the usual zip-lock bag with an 8-page A5 instruction booklet in full colour which shows in detail where all of the markings are applied, although there are no individual drawings for specific aircraft. There are also a set of useful colour photos of various airframe detail and the undercarriage.

The decals are for ZP801 but extra numbers are provided for this to be modified to cover 802-809, along with the larger numbers on the front fuselage. The sheet also contains a mass of stencils, wing-walks, warning markings as well as window and door frames. These should allow a really great model to be produced.

The decals themselves are beautifully printed with great density, colour and register with a glossy finish and minimal carrier film. The aircraft itself has a high gloss finish. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to produce a model of this monster in the ‘One True Scale’.

Highly recommended.

Thanks to Air-Graphic Models for the sample.
