This 60-page A4 ‘bookazine’ consists of a glossy card cover adorned with a trio of very useful photos - two in colour, and a main body of high quality glossy paper that allows superb photo reproduction, none of which have apparently been published previously.
Photos are all of a good size.
The text and captions are in German and English and consists of a series of chapters covering interesting boats, operations and personnel such as:
-
U-403 - with a’Rushing Wolf” on the conning tower, some 30 pages of pictures, maps and descriptions of actions in the Baltic area
-
U-449, with a Sea Devil Emblem and a couple of others with unknown emblems, and
-
a series of photos which have stories attached to them, both personal and military.
All-in-all, an interesting mass of information that will inform and intrigue the modeller and historian of the dreaded U-Boats and , if this is your thing, then it comes recommended. .
Highly recommended.
