Laminar Flow Design is a new company from Belgium that is producing a range of 3d printed aircraft conversions and accessories.
Their debut productions were two Spitfire F/FR XIVe conversions for Tamiya's Spitfire Mk.XVI kit - a high-back and a low-back bubble-top.
Laminar Flow Design has now added a highly detailed 1/32 scale Spitfire Mk.XIV cockpit upgrade / conversion for the Tamiya kit..
The upgrade is delivered in a compact cardboard box packed securely.

The set comprises 37 grey 3d printed resin parts and detailed instructions, specifically:
Multiple handles and levers are also provided.

The parts are enclosed in a resin printing cage.
The instructions advise the modeller to cut the four pillars at the base of the cage, then work inward as required. It is also recommended that a razor saw or a new scalpel blade should be used to free the parts.

I used a combination of a sprue cutter and a new hobby knife blade to remove the cage and then separate all the individual parts.

Once the parts have been freed, you can appreciate the quality of this conversion.

Detail is uncompromising and printing is flawless.

Many of the pieces are genuinely tiny. The instructtions recommend magnification glasses and I certainly gave my Optivisor a workout!

The instructions are clearly laid out and include text and photographic assembly steps.
Laminar Flow Design has added the option of this impressive cockpit upgrade / conversion to suit their stunning Spitfire Mk.XIV high back and low back conversions.
No stone has been unturned in the quest for accuracy in this 1/32 scale Spitfire Mk.XIV cockpit.
This cockpit upgrade will be a valuable addition to your 1/32 scale Tamiya / Laminar Flow Spitfire Mk.XIV project.
This set is in stock at Laminar Flow's webs store now but be quick - this is a genuinely limited release.
