FirstLook

Eduard has released a a machine gun set for the Airfix 1/48 scale Avro Anson Mk.I kit. You should be able tp adapt these to the old Classic Airframes Avro Anson kits too.

The set supplies three full Lewis gun plus one Vickers .303 barrel that is fixed into the forward fuselage.

Two of the Lewis guns have a ring and bead sight printed directly onto the front of the barrel.

The small photo-etched fret supplies a detailed blade sight for the third Lewis gun. A spare photo-etched blade is also supplied.

The 3D printed resin parts are packed in a small strong clear plastic case. Take when removing the resin ammo drums from their adhesive backing. Too much effort may launch the parts across the room into the unwelcome embrace of the dreaded carpet monster!

The guns are subtly detailed with the sights, mounts and ammunition drum magazines printed in place. Six spare ammo drums are included too.

Assembly is pretty self-explanatory but instructions are included.

Conclusion

These guns will be a luxurious finishing touch for your Airfix 1/48 scale Avro Anson.

Thanks to Eduard for the samples.
