Review Type:

First Look.

Advantages:

High level of detail; includes harness straps and backrest cushion printed in place; cleanly printed; fast cleanup and straightforward installation.

Disadvantages:

Conclusions:

This is the first time that Eduard has released a resin seat with harness straps in place. Detail is as good as you woukld expect from a new Eduard product, and the drape of the belts is natural and convincing. Eduard is never reluctant to offer multiple options to modellers, so I do hope that we will see more seats with harness straps printed in place in future.

FirstLook

Eduard has released a 3D printed resin seat for Tamiya's 1/48 scale A-1H Skyraider kit with the backrest and harness printed in place.

The 3D printed resin seat is packed in a small strong clear plastic case with the resin base secured to an adhesive spot.

The seat is subtly detailed with a backrest cushion, rivets and, of course, lap and shoulder harness all printed in place.

The harness looks great with natural drape and crisp buckle hardware.

Use caution when removing the resin part from its adhesive backing. Too much effort may launch the seat across the room into the unwelcome embrace of the dreaded carpet monster.

Instructions are not included but assembly is entirely self-explanatory - just replace the kit seat!

Conclusion

This is the first time that Eduard has offered a resin seat with harness straps in place.

Detail is as good as you woukld expect from a new Eduard product, and the drape of the belts is natural and convincing.

Eduard is never reluctant to offer multiple options to modellers, so I do hope that we will see more seats with harness straps printed in place in future.

Thanks to Eduard for the samples.
