Brengun has added a photo-etched update set for the Special Hobby 1/48 scale Reggiane Re 2000 kits to their ever-growing catalogue.

 

 

This set comprises a single photo-etched metal fret and a clear acetate sheet with printed instrument dials.

 

 

The focus is focused on the cockpit, although interior for the tail wheel doors are also included.

Parts include the instrument panel, sidewall detail, harness straps, rudder pedals and more.

The idea of the clear acetate sheet is that you paint the back of the clear sheet white, which in turn shows through the black printed areas as white dial and digit detail. This works wuite effectively.

 

 

After checking, I was surprised that this relatively new kit did not include photo-etched parts in the box so Brengun's set will be very welcome as a noticeable upgrade for the cockpit.
