First Look. |
Advantages: |
Well cast replacement parts for their intended kits, with variant differences clearly shown. The PE fret in BRG144181 is also a great refinement for the early variant. |
Disadvantages: |
None noted, although I think the PE could have been included in each set. |
Conclusion: |
Valuable sets of enhancements for these tiny models and recommended to those of you who build in 1/144. |

I will deal with these all together as they are essentially similar and give modellers in the tiny scale some excellent replacement parts with finer detail than the plastic components they are meant to replace.
Each set consists of two pairs of wheels and the particular tailwheels for each variant.
The hub details differ and are nicely cast to emphasise the differences, as are the tiny tailwheels. Set BRG144181 for the Bf109 A-E is a bit more detailed in that it contains undercarriage legs and a photo-etched fret with two sets of u/c doors, tail struts, pitots and aerials, all much finer than the kit examples. I don’t know why this was not in each set.
They each arrive in the familiar clear sleeve with a black backing sheet and card back with a small instruction sheet to help locate the parts.
These will certainly enhance any of the small kits for which they are designed and come recommended if these aircraft are your interest.
Thanks to Brengun for the review sample.
