SUPERMARINE SPITFIRE MK. IX ‘E’ WING LATE CONVERSION SET FOR 1/24 AIRFIX MK. IXC KIT £22.00

https://aerocraftmodels.bigcartel.com/product/supermarine-spitfire-mk-ix-e-wing-late-conversion-set-for-1-24-airfix-mk-ixc-kit

This is a set of 3D printed parts designed to fit the Airfix Mk.IX kit, main source of reference was the Monforton Spitfire book on the Mk.IX / Mk.XVI.

Fastener and rivet detail is added and is as close to the kit as I can make it.

I have made two sets to allow for early Mk.IX e’s to be made without the bulges to the wheel well and wing surface.

This later set provides the extra parts for the bulges in the wheel bays and the additional tear drop and needle shape covers for the top wing surface.

There is obviously a bit of a compromise to adding more thickness to the inner wheel bay, but I certainly feel it is a better option than to remove part of the wing and then to make a nice good clean finish.

It should be noted that the teardrop blister does not really have a raised flanged around it, especially to maintain scale, even at 1/24th. If you want to create it then spray a teardrop shape approximately 1mm larger than the blister, creating a step in the paint and then add the blister, or alternatively a very fine scribed line.

I have provided all the tricky parts to make but if you want to be super accurate you will have to fill and re-scribe some of the circulate access panels yourself.

Please allow up to 2 to 3 weeks for manufacturing. I will email as soon as I have shipped the parts.

So the early set does not include and of the parts required for the later style with the larger wheels, but all you Spitfire experts will know this.

ENGLISH ELECTRIC LIGHTNING CANOPY SET FOR 1/32 ECHELON VACFORM £18.00

https://aerocraftmodels.bigcartel.com/product/english-electric-lightning-canopy-set-for-1-32-echelon-vacform

Replacement Lightning canopy set for the 1/32 Echelon vacform

This is a canopy set developed from the kit vacform canopy, many of the ones that were produced have yellowed.
This was a really trick canopy set to develop, I may have tackled it slightly differently in hind sight, but I think I do now have a canopy set that can be used to complete your vacform Lightning. The clear resin parts will and can be adjusted by using the warm to hot water technique to adjust the fit to your kit. As much as I tried to get a good fit, I was using a borrowed kit supplied by the first guy that asked for the canopy to be done, thanks to Rick Godden. Now with the nature of a vacform each one will be slightly different and every modeller will prepare their one slightly differently, however if you are building this vacform I know you will have the skills to get the canopy to work with the kit.

Note 3D printed parts are included, a canopy liner which has hinges included, and some internal detail (that is why two are used in the picture, you will only get one) two mirrors a four internal canopy lock systems, spare are provided for these parts.
An external mask set is also included.

Remove from the casting stubs with sharp fine, razor saw, sharp blade scribing, or a cutting disc on a rotary tool.
When attaching to the fuselage, even when using super glue the parts will not bloom like plastic parts. However still do take care.

These are clear cast resin parts.

Please allow up to 3-4 weeks for manufacturing. I will email as soon as I have shipped the parts.
