Copper State Models' 1/32 scale
Caudron G.III

by Rafi Ben Shahar

Caudron G.III

Description

Here is my Cooper State Models 1/32 Caudron G.III.

This is a very well designed model. The building experience is much like Wingnut Wings models.

The surface areas are crisp with good fabric rendition. Instructions are detailed, but not confusing. You may want to go back and forth through the pages to gather a broader perspective of the build.

Rigging is on the elaborate side. To help with it, the instructions suggest rigging of each model section that takes several stages.

It is the first broad wing bi plane that I built where the struts hold the two wings together without needing a drop of glue. Yet, the attachment point profile of struts is square and not round. This can complicate the building process since the holes drilled for the rigging alter the dimensions of the strut joints. A round profile would be desired.

The time it took me to complete the model compares with three not too complex 1/48 scale models.
