FirstLook

Eduard has released a pair of seats for Meng's lovely 1/48 scale F/A-18G Growler kit.

Inside the stout little cardboard box are six parts in grey resin, one colour photo-etched fret, a small decal sheet and instructions.

The main seats are conventionally cast resin. Detail is comprehensive, in particular the jumble of structure and hydraulics on the sides and back of each seat.

The other four resin parts may be 3D printed. Regardless, the surface and detail quality is also excellent.

Casting blocks for the main wheels will best be tackled with a razor saw while cleanup on the smaller parts will be a snap - almost literally.

The colour photo-etched fret offers harness straps and pull handles, eliminating a tricky and often disliked painting task.

Stencil and warning markings are supplied on the small decal sheet.

Instructions are provided on a single folded paper sheet.

Conclusion

These resin seats will be the jewel in the cockpit crown of your Meng 1/48 scale EA-18G Growler.

Thanks to Eduard for the sample.
