Eduard BRASSIN, 1/48 scale

Eduard has cast its attention back to Tamiya's 1998-vintage 1/48 scale A-1H Skyraider.
Nearly a quarter of a century after its original release, Tamiya's Skyraiders are still easily the best in this scale.
Eduard has released a multi-media replacement wheel set for Tamiya's 1/48 scale A-1H Skyraider.
Inside the sturdy little cardboard box are three parts in grey coloured cast resin, one 3D printed resin part plus a masking sheet and instructions.
The resin wheels have lovely detail cast in place.
The main wheels feature subtle flattening and bulging. The tyres are cast with a radial tread pattern with raised sidewall detail and lettering.
The tail wheel is the solid rubber style.
All wheels are cast in one piece each.
Casting blocks will best be tackled with a razor saw.
A tail wheel strut assembly is also included. This has been created using 3D printing technology.
Detail is just gorgeous and the one-piece printing is very impressive.
The part is attached to its printing base with multiple fine strips. These will be quickly cleaned up with a sprue cutter, new hobby blade and a sanding stick.
Self-adhesive die-cut painting masks for the wheels are also included.
Instructions are supplied on a single folded paper sheet.
These wheels will be a luxurious finishing touch for your Tamiya 1/48 scale Skyraider.
At less that USD$10.00 they won't break the bank either.
Thanks to Eduard for the samples.
