Review Type:

First Look.

Well etched and detailed parts, clear instructions.

This will be a useful set for anyone building these older kits, especially since the Airwaves set is a rare find these days. Recommended.

FirstLook

Designed for the Airfix/Heller kits this 50x30mm PE fret contains parts to enhance or replace over-sized kit components and come in the familiar clear sleeve with a black card backing and enclosed instructions..

Airwaves did a similar but not identical fret back in the 1980s.

The parts different aerial fits (including the large dipoles attached to the front of the canopy), instrument panels with clear film and PE parts, windscreen wipers, cyclical levers, rotor head details and some lower fuselage additions. All parts are well etched with some surface detail and very fine attachment points. No colours are given in the instructions.

Conclusion

All-in-all a useful set to enhance what was a simplified kit. Recommend to the rotorcraft modeller.
