BarracudaCast is the resin accessory arm of Roy Sutherland's Barracuda Studios enterprise.

BarracudaCast has now released a drop-fit replacement for the seats in Tamiya's gorgeous F4U-1A and F4U-1D kits. It is not suitable for the initial F4U-1 Birdcage Corsair, which featured a lower located seat.

 

 

This release comprises a single seat with mount in cream coloured resin.

Shoulder and lap straps are cast in place. These are US-style straps, stitching and hardware.

 

 

The fabric and hardware detail combined with the subtle drape of the harness straps is excellent.

The seat itself features crisp and fine detail, front, sides and rear.

 

 

If you like cast-on harness straps as I do, this new release from Barracuda Studios is a simple yet highly desirable finishing touch for your 1/32 scale Tamiya F4U-1A/D kits.
