We have come to expect a quality product from these chaps and so it is with this sheet.
Four aircraft are presented and instructions are provided in colour on both sides of an A3 sheet. This contains a detailed set of side and top views, descriptions of specific equipment fit and colour details.
A separate B&W sheet contains drawings to show decals and stencil placement. The sheet contains stencils for the undercarriage legs and propellor blades as well as spirals for the spinners - always very handy I reckon!
Sufficient crosses, stencils and swastikas are provided for three choices but all aeroplanes can be covered using kit decals.
The four choices are :-
-
Black ‘8’ of II.Sturm / JG3 of Willie Maximowitz in June 1944 at Dreux in France ,with a white fuselage band,
-
Yellow ’2’ of 6/JG300 , of Hubert Engst, December 1944 at Lobnitz, Germany, with a blue/white fuselage band,
-
Black ‘4’ of 8/JG300 of Victor Heimann in February 1945 at Lobnitz, and
-
Yellow ’12’ of Much 6/JG300 of Paul Lixfield in November 1944, also at Lobnitz, with a red band.
All are in various late-war schemes, and the decals are to a very high standard, glossy with minimal carrier film and excellent density and register.
The modeller will have to paint the fuselage bands but at least the spinners are taken care of.
This is a quality product, thoroughly recommended to the modeller of late war Axis aircraft.
