Biullseye Model Aviation has released a further decal set covering the Douglas A-4C Skyhawk, Fleet Hot Rods II.

The decals are designed for the Hasegawa 1/48 scale kit.

The set includes an additional nine varied marking options for Westpac and Med cruise Scooters.

The subjects on this new release were adorned with a wide range of tail and fuselage markings. These will result in some very unique Scooters on your display shelves.

The nine Skyhawks covered are:

  • VA-15 USS Intrepid, WestPac 1967

  • VA-56 USS Enterprise, WestPac 1966-1967

  • VA-195 USS Ticonderoga, WestPac 1966-1967 CAG-19 jet

  • VA-45 DET II USS Intrepid, Med Cruise 1970, COs jet

  • VA-46 USS Shangri-La, Med Cruise 1965 COs jet

  • VA-22 USS Coral Sea, WestPac 1966-1967 CAG-2 jet

  • VA-95 USS John F. Kennedy, Med Cruise 1969 COs jet

  • VA-12 USS Shangri-La, WestPac 1970 CAG-8 jet

  • VC-7 NAS Miramar 1973, COs jet

All of the aircraft are finished in the standard US Navy scheme of the era, Light Gull Grey and White.

Decals are beautifully printed by Catrograf.

The main decal sheet is 12" x 8.5".

The second decal sheet containing stencils, fuselage and national markings measures 8.5" x 5".

Instructions are supplied on four double-sided letter-sized sheets. They are as well researched and thorough as you would expect from Bullseye.

Port side views and scrap view wing illustrations of each of the eight subjects are included.

Also supplied are two very useful pages dedicated to weapons configuration.

This is a great idea and something that I wish was included with more modern aircraft decal sheets.

A stencil placement guide in included too.

The instructions are rounded out with acknowledgements.
