Kopecky Scale Models from the Czech Republic has released a forward fuselage Avionics Bay Set for Tamiya's 1/32 scale F-15 kits.

The set comprises 32 parts cast in dark grey resin.

This set is specific to the Tamiya F-15C and F-15E kits.

This "PROFI" version allows the modeller to add their own additional wiring to the bay. Also included in Kopecki's range is the "BASIC" version of the avionics bay with additional wiring cast in place.

Casting quality is perfect on my sample.

The jewel in the crown are the two bay itself and the beautiful detail cast onto the inside of the access hatch. These are impressive one-piece castings with a high level of detail.

Also included are 16 wire holders that will allow you to acurately run additional wiring between boxes in the bay after after painting.

Clean-up will be easy for the most part. You won't even need to remove the casting block from the back of the avionics bay casting as there is plenty of space to accomodate it inside the fuselage.

There will be a bit of surgery removing the moulded-in avionics bay from the kit fuselage half, but this should be well within the capabilities of any moderately experienced modeller.

Once the plastic bay is cut out, installation will be a breeze.
