Reviewed by Graham Carter
This set is deigned to enhance the recently released Brengun kits of the A-1 and B-1 kits of this aircraft and consists of a 50x35mm fret containing some 50 parts plus resin replacement bomb, smoke/gas generator, gun barrel and a tropical air filter.
Clear instructions occupy both sides of an A5 sheet but no colour details are given.
Some parts will be used in different variants and this is pointed out on the instruction sheet.
Details are also given as to which kit parts need to be modified. There are lots of levers for the instruments, a new instrument panel with instrument film, seatbelts, canopy grab handles, machine gun sights, engine support brackets, and the tiny steps up the undercarriage legs for the pilot (two types according to version and also open or closed).
The two-part resin bomb is provided with etched fins and circular tail, and the smoke generator has a spray mechanism provided.
All-in-all, this is a nice set to enhance an already nice kit, recommended to the modeller who wants a bit more detail in his/her model.
Thanks to Brengun for the review sample.
