Aerocraft Models has released a simple but useful upgrade for the Hong Kong Models' 1/32 scale B-25 Mitchell kits.
Aerocraft's 1/32 scale brass undercarriage set comprises three parts in cast brass and six in 3D resin.
Casting of the brass legs is perfect. The parts are pretty much ready to use straight from the box. These will lend more stability to the big model and the brass may also be fine tuned after the legs have been glued in place.
The oleo scissors are separate parts produced by 3D printing. The parts are attached to their mount by multiple fine trees. These should be carefully removed with small sprue cutters or a new hobby blade.
Four 3D resin tie-down eyes are also included to replace the oversized kit parts.
This is an easy and useful upgrade for your HK Models 1/32 scale B-25 Mitchell kits. Cast brass always feel luxurious to work with too. I'm glad I held off building my Wingscale B-25J Mitchell test shot now!
Thanks to Aerocraft Models for the sample.
