Xtradecal has just released a brand new decal sheet covering the Lockheed C-130 in 1/72 scale.

These are perfect timing for the forthcoming all-new Zvezda 1/72 scale C-130H, but will also be suitable for other 1/72 scake Hercules kits.

 

 

Five options are offered for a good variety of interesting colours are markings are offered. These comprise four C-130Hs and one C-130E

 

 

Details are as follows:

  • Lockheed C-130H Hercules 94-7318 of 302nd Airlift Wing, Colorado Air National Guard, tasked with fire fighting duties using the Modular Airborne Fire Fighting System based at Peterson Air Base, Colorado, USA, 2017

  • Lockheed C-130H Hercules 45-1074 of 401 Hikotai, Japan Air Self Defence Force, based at Nagoya Komaki Airport, Japan, January, 2020.

  • Lockheed C-130E Hercules ‘4144’ of 6 Squadron, Pakistan Air Force, based at PAF Chaklala, Pakistan, January, 2013

  • Lockheed C-130H Hercules ‘473’, of 4 Squadron, Royal Saudi Air Force, based at Jeddah Air Base, Saudi Arabia, 2016.

  • Lockheed C-130H (TP-84) Hercules ‘844’, of Transport-och Specialflygenheten (TSFE), 71.Transportflygdivisionen, Swedish Air Force, Based at Satenas Air Base, Sweden, 2020.

Instructions for the decal sheet are in full colour across one folded double-sided A4 and one double-sided A5 sheets.

Both side views are provided for all five aircraft plus upper views and scrap lower views for four.

 

 

Colour notes are offered, along with model paint callouts for Xtracolor enamels and Xtracrylix acrylics.

The decals are perfectly printed and feature thin carrier film. The first sheet offers ful sets of national markings for USAAF, Japan, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Sweden.

 

 

This release will offer welcome variety for anyone planning to build the new 1/72 scale Zvezda Herc.
