Eduard has added a number of BRASSIN updates that will be suitable for their lovely new P-51D Mustang kits. Here are three of them:

648 485 - P-51D Exhaust Stacks. USD$7.95

They don't come much simpler than this.

 

 

Eduard supplies two perfectly cast exhaust stacks in one piece per side.

The stacks are hollowed out deeply at the end and feature a gasket base with four bolts on each.

 

 

Preparation will be as simple as cutting off the resin base strip.

 

648 495 - P-51D Undercarriage Legs BRONZE. USD$24.95

This is the latest in Eduard's growing range of bronze cast undercarriage legs.

Eduard's 1/48 scale P-51D Mustang undercarriage set comprises two legs in solid bronze and two main covers in resin. The two inner undercarriage doors are included too. 

 

 

The bronze legs are ready to paint and install straight from the box. There are no casting blocks or strips, and not a hint of seam lines or other imperfections. They are cast with the oleo scissors and main cover mounts in place.

 

 

The resin main gear covers are attached to thin strips that will be fast and easy to clean up with a sharp hobby knife and a sanding stick.

 

 

The innner gear doors are also provided in perfectly cast resin. Detail of the resin parts is excellent.

 

 

Eduard's bronze undercarriage leg set is an opulent - perhaps even extravagent - finishing touch for your Eduard Mustang kits. This is a special accessory for your special P-51D project!

 

648 503 - P-51D Wheels Oval Tread. USD$9.95

This set includes five parts in grey resin.

 

 

Three are the two main sections of the main wheels, two spoked hub covers, and a replacement tail wheel.

The tyres are subtly bulged and flattened. There is no hint of a centreline seam.

 

 

Legible raised "Goodrich Silvertown" lettering is cast onto the sidewalls.

 

 

Detail is excellent. The tail wheel is especially impressive.

 

 

The parts are prefectly cast in grey resin.

 

 

Conclusion

 

This is a nice collection of finishing touches for Eduard's superb new 1/48 scale P-51D Mustang kits.
