BarracudaCast is the resin accessory arm of Roy Sutherland's Barracuda Studios enterprise.

BarracudaCast has just released three sets of resin replacement wheels for Hawker Hurricane kits in 1/72, 1/48 and 1/32 scales.

The new resin wheels are beautifully detailed.

Separate uplock lugs are supplied in each set. These lugs are captured by pawls on the gear bay roof and lock the gear in the retracted postion. This is a nice touch. Three in the 1/48 and 1/32 sets and four in the 1/72 scale package (due to the delicate nature of the tiny parts). Only two are required for each scale.

Detail throughout is crisp. The tread is smooth but there are some nice raised details on the hub and lettering on the sidewalls.

Each wheel is supplied with the bottom of the tyres very subtly bulged and flattened.

Casting and detail is up to BarracudaCast's usual superlative standards on all three of my samples too.

Cleanup will be fast, with the wheels cast onto a narrow strip.
