BarracudaCast, 1/48 scale

BarracudaCast is the resin accessory arm of Roy Sutherland's Barracuda Studios enterprise.

BarracudaCast has released a set of 1/48 scale resin replacement ailerons and elevators to replace the plastic kit parts.

To quote Roy from his website:

"The Eduard new tool Tempest kit tends to suffer from hard-to-fix shrink marks on the one piece solid molded ailerons and elevators.. Filling and sanding them wipes out the very fine rivets and panel lines. Restoring them can be a lot of fussy work. This set makes short work of that."

The new resin wheels are crisply detailed. It is a bit hard to make out in the photos of the pale resin, but the fine recessed rivets and recessed panel lines are very impressive.

Casting is up to BarracudaCast's usual excellent standards on my sample.

This is a simple finishing touch for your Eduard 1/48 scale Hawker Tempest, whatever the version.
