BarracudaCast is the resin accessory arm of Roy Sutherland's Barracuda Studios enterprise.

BarracudaCast has released two sets of 1/48 scale resin replacement wheels suitable for Focke-Wulf Fw 190 A-6 thru A-9, F and D variants. These will include kits by Eduard, Dragon/Trimaster/Italeri, Tamiya, Hasegawa, Hobby Boss and more.

The new resin wheels are beautifully detailed. Raised "Continetal" and tyre data lettering is cast in place, and detail throughout is crisp. I particularly like the treatment of the raised seams on the smooth wheels.

Intricate detail is cast onto the inner and outer faces of the wheel hubs.

Each wheel is supplied with the bottom of the tyres subtly bulged and flattened.

Casting and detail is up to BarracudaCast's usual high standards on my samples.

Specifically, the two replacement resin wheels sets are:

BR48422 - Fw 190 A-6 thru A-9, F and D Main Wheels - Ribbed

BR48423 - Fw 190 A-6 thru A-9, F and D Main Wheels - Smooth

These are simple yet highly desirable finishing touches for your 1/48 scale Wurger kits.
