Special Hobby's 1/72 Meteor NF Mk.12 is a lovely kit but the one-piece canopy does present some challenges if you want to display the cockpit. The kit canopy is moulded as one piece with the windscreen and the rear fairing.

Aerocraft Models has addressed this issue with a clear resin canopy set that offers the canopy and windcreen as separate parts.

 

 

The big canopy part is thin and free from distortion. The framing is crisply represented - at least as good as the kit part and I think perhaps a little better.

 

 

The separate windscreen is equally nice.

 

 

Three grey resin parts are included too. These are the rear canopy fairing and a couple of bulkheads to add detail to the interior.

 

 

This is a simple but worthwhile upgrade to Special Hobby's Meteor NF Mk.12.
