SPAD XIII

This is Dragon’s quarter scale ‘late model’ SPAD XIII which has been back dated to an earlier version by rounding off the wing tips.  It was built mostly OOB, with the exception of scratch built instruments and lap belts. 

The markings for ADJ Jacques Roques colorful aircraft came from an old Aeromaster decal sheet.  It was a frustrating build and I experienced some difficulties with the fit and the stainless steel rigging. 

If I were to do another SPAD (which is unlikely) I would replace the supplied rigging with something a little easier to work with.
